This group is designed to delve into the psychological and spiritual aspects of the law of attraction in order to provide support, insight, and tools to assist you in manifesting your dreams. At each meetup, there will be a new topic presented regarding the Law of Attraction.
At these meetups, Dr. Ray discusses advanced principles from Law of Attraction and how they relate to all aspects of our lives. He combines the Western model with Eastern philosophy providing the bridge for metaphysics, spirituality, neurobiology, clinical psychology, science, and quantum physics.

Why would you choose Dr. Ray for his services?
I offer a free initial consultation. This is a way for you to interview me to see if you like our chemistry and connection. Unfortunately, many times people do not feel a connection with a therapist and they still have to pay for the first session. I allow new prospective clients to interview me to make sure they are comfortable before paying for my future services.
This an alternative approach to healing and working through issues. There is a spiritual component to how I address problems. The duration of treatment is usually brief. I still do follow-up sessions when new challenges arise. However, I try to help you develop better skills in order to handle the vicissitudes of life.
I use a three-stage protocol: past, present, and future to produce long-term resolution. A client usually comes into therapy with a presenting problem. I address the current problem along with its roots. I also help clients to incorporate new positive tools to handle the future in a healthier and more positive way. My three-stage protocol creates long lasting results that put you in control of your life.
I have enjoyed success with clients who would be considered more challenging. Some clients put up walls, resistance, and other defenses that would stifle most practitioners. I am always able to find creative ways to subdue defenses and resistance and use them in ways that are productive in therapy.
The environment where you unravel your feelings should feel safe. My office and location has a cozy and safe atmosphere. It has a non-clinical feeling to it and is close to a park and beach in Santa Monica.
I really love what I do! Every session is a privilege for me to join you on your journey into happiness.

What is hypnosis, hypnotherapy and past life therapy?
When you hear the word “Hypnosis”, you might think of mind control. Most misconceptions about hypnosis have been created by stage hypnotists who get a participant from the audience to bark like a dog or by movies where it is a tool of vampires, evil doctors or criminals.
Hypnosis works with the power of the subconscious mind to change habits and behaviors. The subconscious mind is considered to be the source or root of many of our behaviors, emotions, attitudes, and motivations. Dr. Ray utilizes hypnotherapy in conjunction with other tools to access the subconscious mind to create improvements in your life.
Being hypnotized is like being in a trance or a special state of the mind in which the body is relaxed and the mind is able to pay attention to inner experiences without criticism or judgment. During hypnotherapy sessions, clients remain completely aware of everything that is going on. In fact many people experience a hyper-awareness where sensations are perceived enriched and vivid. The ability to visualize and imagine is enhanced. Deep relaxation is common. The use of hypnosis could elicit memories of past events which may or may not be literally true. The goal in hypnotherapy is not to verify truth or facts, but help bring a client in touch with better feelings and insight.
Hypnosis is not mind control. No one under hypnosis can be induced to do anything against his or her will. Whatever moral and ethical codes you hold in a normal waking state will still be in place under hypnosis. You will remember everything you experienced. Dr. Ray is a hypnotherapist who always checks in with you during the process to make sure you feel safe.
Dr. Ray provides past-life therapy for those of you who believe in reincarnation or are just curious. Past-life therapy can be very helpful in addressing an array of issues. He uses the Netherton Method to facilitate past-life therapy. Pioneer therapist Dr. Morris Netherton developed the technique in the early 1960s.
Sometimes our problems feel and sound infinite as if we have experienced them before in another lifetime. Our experiences feel like déjà vu and that we are paying karmic debt without knowing what we are purchasing. In therapy or life, you might come up with these questions: How did I end up with my parents? Why was I born in these circumstances? Did old karma play a role in my challenges? And what about the soul? Past-life therapy gives us the opportunity to explore and understand unfinished business.
A belief in reincarnation is not necessary for Past-Life therapy to be effective. As long as one works with the process, the mind will function whether or not one believes in reincarnation. We are not trying to prove theory, doctrine, truth or facts. Call it past-lives, dreams, fantasies, symbols, synchronicities or what you will; we are all multi-dimensional beings with a myriad of unconscious material.
Many past life therapists only focus on past lives. Dr. Ray is a past life therapist who also integrates past events in your current life. It allows the integration process to flow more easily and for a client to understand his past life correlation with his present life.
We were not all given a manual on how to deal with life changes. Dr. Ray helps supply new tools to better your life and to produce positive changes.

From a number of studies, most prominently those from the Kinsey Sex Research Institute at Indiana University in 1948 and 1992, it is estimated that between 8 and 10% of American males are exclusively gay, and that between 6 and 8% of American females are exclusively lesbian.

Attachment theory posits that early attachments to our caregivers shape us into who we are – our thoughts, beliefs, perceptions, associations, responses and reactions. From its early conception, attachment theory was a theory of psychopathology, normal development, and behavioral patterns.

Carl Rogers (1902-1987) felt that all humanity has one basic motivational force - a tendency toward actualization. The way we receive regards from others is the way we are going to regard ourselves. If an individual receives unconditional regard, the individual will have a positive self-regard for his or herself. An infant is believed to have one basic motivational force - the tendency toward self-actualization, which is compared to organisms trying to develop to their full capacity.

Why do we attract unhealthy relationships over and over again? Why do we feel like we are not good enough? Why do we feel like we are lacking something no matter how much money or love we receive? Why do things feel unfulfilled despite our accomplishments? Why do we develop unhealthy habits or addictions? Why is our behavior out of control sometimes? Why do we feel insecure even though we know we are loved or supported? Why are we always having health issues? Why do more obstacles seem to keep surfacing?

The more repressed/oppressed a culture is, the more daimonic possession seems to lurk. What is this encapsulated psychic energy that becomes blocked and repressed? Does an individual’s dualistic belief about himself (e.g., I am good or bad) produce splitting of the personality causing character traits such as devaluation, idealization, and denial?

Buddhist believe that all kinds of existential life changes such as birth, old age, sickness, death, association with unpleasant persons or conditions, separation from beloved ones, and not getting what one desires are universally accepted as legitimate suffering and pain. For us to account for the pleasures in life, we must accept the pains and sorrows.

Throughout evolution, humans have been exposed to a plethora of traumatic events, including violence, rape, incest, assault, natural disasters, wars, genocide, car accidents, and perpetual emotional abuse and neglect. Trauma can temporarily or permanently incapacitate an individual’s ability to cope with or pay attention to both new and familiar situations.
